Nicomatic introduced a new micro circular connector especially aimed at applications in small spaces such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), UVS, missiles, surveillance cameras, robotics and handheld remote controls.
The OMM connector allows a high density of contacts in a small space and is available in 6, 8 and 10 position housing sizes with either pre-wired, SMT or straight tail signal terminations. With a total mated length of 7,8 mm in PCB-to-PCB (12,6 mm in PCB-to-wire) and an outer diameter of 11 mm, these connectors withstand temperature variations from -60°C to +260°C, have gold-plated contacts (rated to 3 A) and are secured in a housing capable of up to 2500 mating cycles. The solution is based on the same level of reliability as the CMM series micro connectors under MIL-DTL-55302F.
With just one fixing screw, the connector is lightweight and its captive screw facilitates simple interconnection in that the user does not need to screw at the same time as they interconnect.
