Discrete wire cable system

Samtec’s latest power interconnect solution is a robust, discrete wire cable system for space-limited applications. The PowerStrip/15 cable assembly of the MPSS series is available with 2,3,4,6 or 8 dual leaf blade contacts on a narrow 5,00 mm centreline. When mated with Samtec’s PowerStrip/25 high power terminals (MPT series), the system has a current carrying capacity of 14,4 A per contact at 30°C temperature rise (with eight positions powered and #14 AWG cable).

The PowerStrip/15 discrete wire cable system is available in double- or single-ended assemblies with #14 or #16 AWG discrete wire coax cable and a choice of assembled lengths. It also features a positive latching system for increased unmating force and polarised guide posts that allow for blind mating, making it suitable for rugged or other harsh environments.
