Anderson Power Products has developed the SPEC Pak (sealed power for environmental connections) connector series, designed for use wherever a rugged or waterproof signal and ground interconnect solution is required. The seal on the connector shell is rated to IP68, protecting the Powerpole contacts and housings enclosed within the shell from dust and water.
The customer-configured SPEC Pak connectors are suitable for use in mass transportation, off-road vehicles, factory automation, oil and petrochemical exploration, solar and agricultural equipment applications, among others. The core technology within the connector is the Powerpole, a proven reliable technology that accommodates wire ranging from 0,25 to 4 mm². Housed within a fingerproof or standard housing, Powerpole contacts are capable of power, ground as well as signal.
Powerpole’s broad selection of standard and finger proof housings meet UL1977, Section 10.2, and the colour-coded housings offer versatility for design flexibility. The 4-position SPEC Pak shell handles up to 25 A when fully loaded, and the 6-position SPEC Pak shell handles up to 45 A. The SPEC Pak panel mount receptacle utilises an industry standard panel cut-out, size 20 shell for the 4-position and size 24 shell for the 6-position.
