A precision instrumentation amplifier (in-amp) designed for high-temperature applications was unveiled by Analog Devices. The AD8229 has CMRR (common mode rejection ratio) of 100 dB over the temperature range of 55°C to 210°C; input voltage offset varies by only 100 nV/°C over the entire temperature range. Input noise is 1,0 nV/Hz, making the device well suited for sensors that read faint signals. AC specifications include a 15 MHz bandwidth (G=1) and 25 V/s slew rate. The IC features THD of 120 dB (G=1) at 1 kHz. It runs from a ±4 V to ±18 V dual supply and gain (between 1 and 1000) is set with a single resistor.
