The newly released right-angle, one-piece interface from Samtec is a board-to-board interconnect solution for high shock/vibration applications. A reliable connection and the elimination of bent pins provide an interface with improved quality over elastomers and other pin and socket systems.
Additionally, the robust interface reduces costs by requiring the handling and processing of only one component.
The SIR1 series is designed for power or signal applications with a current carrying capacity range from 1,4 A to 2,8 A per contact at 30°C temperature rise, dependent upon the total number of contacts powered. The system has a low profile of 6 mm and is available in a single row with 3, 5, 10 and 15 positions. The 2,54 mm pitch contact system provides large contact deflection for a flexible and reliable connection. Also available are optional alignment pins and pick-and-place pads for precise placement.
