Kanthal Globar supplies a range of bulk ceramic, non-inductive resistors for demanding designs involving high-voltage, high-current and high energy. The tubular resistors are available in a wide range of ratings, from 0,5 W to 1000 W in a single component and are suitable for a large variety of end products and types of circuits, including RC snubbers for transformer protection and reduction of switching transients in large inverters.
The resistors offer several advantages compared to non-inductive wire wound, film and composition resistors as there is no film or wire to fail. They are also chemically inert and thermally stable, making them highly reliable for high-voltage, high-temperature or radio frequency applications.
The Globar product range includes a broad range of standard or custom-designed resistors of three basic bulk ceramic materials. They can easily be arranged in an assembly housing to suit specific applications.
