Wayon offers a broad range of SMD and PPTC fuses for over-current protection.
The SMD chip fuses are available in two types; namely the slow blow and fast blow series. Packages that are covered are 0402, 0603 and 1210 and they are compatible with both wave and reflow soldering processes.
The SMD polymer positive temperature resettable (PPTC) fuses are made of Polymeric PTC materials with very low resistance. If over-current occurs, the resistance will immediately rise to a very high level to bring the current to a safe value. Once the circuit fault is removed, the device automatically resets and is ready for normal operation. These devices are covered in a broad range of packages including 0805, 1206, 1210, 1812 and 2920. The main features of the PPTC devices are RoHS compliance, agency recognition for UL, CSA and TUV, fast response time and very low resistance.
