Supporting a single 1,8 V to 6 V input voltage rail, Exar’s new XRP6272 low-noise LDO provides a 2 A point-of-load with an adjustable output voltage. It is equally capable of delivering power from as low as 0,7 V for core voltage up to 5 V for RF circuitry.
Better than ±2% output voltage accuracy, 24 μVRMS output noise and 70 dB PSRR make the device well suited for powering wireless RF circuitries. Allowing usage of small, low-cost ESR ceramic output capacitors and featuring a low 30 μA quiescent current, the XRP6272 is optimised for use in battery powered portable equipment, while an Enable function and Power Good flag complete the feature set. Built-in current limit and thermal protections provide the LDO with fail-safe operation.
