Small TCXOs up to 100 MHz

22 February 2012 Analogue, Mixed Signal, LSI

KVG’s new (VC)TCXO series TO-75000 offers frequencies starting from 40 MHz in the 7 x 5 mm SMD package.

The parts provide frequencies up to 100 MHz and tight frequency stability options of ±0,5 ppm are possible over an operating temperature range of -30°C to +85°C. The typical phase noise of a 50 MHz TO-75000 at 100 Hz carrier offset is below -105 dBc/Hz. The typical noise floor at 100 kHz is below -150 dBc/Hz.

Supply voltage can be selected as +2,5 V or +3,3 V. Output options are clipped sine wave, HCMOS or sine wave. The TO-75000 can be provided as a fixed-frequency TCXO or as a voltage controlled VC-TCXO with a tuning range of up to ±15 ppm. Typical applications are network and synchronisation components and systems for professional telecommunication and measurement equipment and systems for network monitoring.

Altron Arrow Analogue, Mixed Signal, LSI
A mixed-signal ADC driver circuit’s optimum performance depends on multiple variables: the driver’s settling time, the RC filter’s time constant, driving impedance, and the ADC sampling capacitor’s kickback current, all interact during acquisition time and contribute towards sampling errors.
