LED arrays for general lighting

The Bridgelux family of LED array products is designed to deliver high-performance, compact and cost-effective solid-state lighting solutions to serve the general lighting market.
Product options are tailored to match light output levels of conventional light sources, delivering between 400 and 2000 lumens under application conditions in cool, neutral and warm white colours. In order to satisfy system design requirements, the arrays are specified to deliver these values hot, or under assumed typical use conditions, eliminating the need to incorporate additional sources to account for thermal degradation.
Various configurations are available, allowing the product to be optimised on efficacy, CRI, light output, cost, or a combination of these attributes. Typical applications include task, accent, spot, track, downlight, wide area and security lighting.
Bridgelux LED arrays leverage the company’s proprietary Metal Bond Technology (MBT), which reduces both thermal resistance and cost. The manufacturer states that this packaging technique has demonstrated a reduction in thermal resistance by 30-50%, as compared to alternative LED solutions. MBT eliminates redundant packaging steps and components, and its lower thermal resistance is beneficial to the lighting system by increasing light output and reducing heatsinking requirements.
