TDK-Lambda has added three new power levels to its AL range of LED AC/DC power supplies, which is targeted towards LED lighting and signage applications requiring high power and high reliability. Suited for both indoor and outdoor installations, including traffic, street, architectural and emergency service lighting, as well as LED illumination boards, signs and displays, these power supplies are IP66-rated and accept a wide universal AC input (90 to 305 V).
The AL series is available in two output modes – for constant voltage (ALV) and constant current (ALC) applications. Both versions are available in 60 W, 80 W and 100 W power levels with 12 V, 24 V and 36 V versions for the ALV series and 1050 mA, 1400 mA, 1700 mA, 3000 mA, 3300 mA and 4000 mA versions for the ALC series.
The power supplies are compact, measuring 241 x 43 x 35 mm, and are mounted in a vibration- and shock-resilient, sealed case. They are convection cooled, operating between -30°C and +50°C without derating, with a guaranteed startup at -40°C and an efficiency of up to 89%. All models have over-voltage and over-current protection.
As well as being EN55015, EN55022, CISPR22 and FCC compliant (achieving class B conducted and radiated emissions with a substantial margin), the AL series complies with European safety requirements of EN61347-1 and EN61347-2-13 (for lamp control gear), as well as UL8750, CSA C22.2 60950 (second edition) and DENAN PSE. They are also ENEC and CE marked, therefore suitable for worldwide installations. To ensure long-term reliability, all models meet IEC61000-4-2, -3,
-4, -5, -6, -8, -11 immunity standards, IEC61000-3-2 class C harmonics at loads down to 50%, and are supported by a 3-year warranty.
