NXP Semiconductors announced the LPC11A00 microcontroller series featuring a fully interconnected and flexible analog subsystem, based on the ARM Cortex-M0 processor. Combining 50 MHz CPU performance with advanced analog features including under-voltage lock-out in a 2,5 x 2,5 mm WLCSP package, it is an ideal replacement for 8/16-bit microcontrollers in a variety of power management applications which present significant challenges in terms of overall system performance, space constraints and harsh environments. Fully integrated with an on-chip temperature sensor and up to 4 KB of EEPROM, the device is well suited for UPS, power inverters, intelligent battery chargers, power factor correction, sensors, lighting and power conversion applications.
