CONEC has advanced its water-resistant series of connectors to include Ethernet I/O ports with a special flange-mount. These die-cast, nickel-plated IP67-rated connectors allow designers to incorporate popular data ports in applications exposed to harsh environmental conditions.
The addition of a flange-mount to the RJ45 series makes it a suitable choice for applications such as industrial machinery, security and surveillance equipment, test and measurement equipment, and GPS systems and communications. Available in Cat5e or Cat6e configurations, the connectors provide increased protection from contamination and moisture in addition to mechanical stability, temperature resistance, vibration immunity and EMI/RFI shielding.
The connector can be front- or rear-mounted to a maximum panel thickness of 3,20 mm, and operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The RJ45 product family features a 1/6th turn bayonet coupling for fast and secure mating/unmating, even with gloved hands. Gold-plated contacts ensure high performance and a long operational lifespan.
The RJ45 product line also includes a variety of panel-mounted receptacles, mating plugs, protective caps and pre-terminated jumper cables, including cables suitable for outdoor use and direct burial. The IP67 flange-mounted connectors guarantee a continuously secure dustproof and weatherproof connection, with a silicone ring seal that creates a watertight connection to the panel.
