Following the launch of the APV/APC-12/16 series, Mean Well has introduced the new 25 W/35 W LED power supplies of the APV/APC-25/35 series. Operating in constant-voltage (APV) or constant-current (APC) mode, these four new series employ a non-PFC design in order to keep costs low and to provide users more alternatives while designing the lighting fixtures.

With high-frequency switching topology, the models feature 90–264 V a.c. input range and possess up to 84% efficiency, allowing them to function between -30°C and +70°C using free air convection.

The 25 W models are not potted while the 35 W ones are semi-potted for PCB protection and provide the basic ability of anti-moisture, anti-dust as well as for heat conduction purposes. Built-in standard functions include short circuit, overload, over-voltage and 300 V a.c. surge input withstand for 5 seconds.

With IP30 rating, these new power units are suitable for indoor LED lighting without the need for high-level waterproofing and dustproofing. Typical applications include LED indoor lighting, LED-based decorative lighting and LED electrical displays.
