RF Micro Devices’ new range of high-linearity WiFi front end modules integrate a power amplifier, switch, LNA with bypass, and a power detector coupler for improved accuracy and are provided in a 3 x 3 x 1,0 mm, 16-pin laminate package. The RFFM8200 features an integrated 2,4 GHz to 2,5 GHz power amplifier, LNA with bypass, and Tx/Rx SP3T switch, while the RFFM8500 has an integrated 4,9 GHz to 5,85 GHz power amplifier, LNA, and Tx/Rx SPDT switch. The RFFM8200 has -18 dBm output power for 802.11n at 3,3 V with 2% dynamic EVM or error vector magnitude (-21 dBm for 802.11b). Power output for the RFFM8500 is -16 dBm for 802.11n at a data rate of 54 Mbps and 2% dynamic EVM.
