Video capture cards

The VisionRGB-E2 and VisionRGB-E2S from Datapath are dual input channel, four-lane PCI Express video capture cards. They offer component HD capture for each channel up to 1080p at 60 frames per second, HDMI capture up to 1080p and DVI up to 1920 x 1200; furthermore they have the ability for RGB/VGA capture up to 2048 x 1536.
The cards feature high-performance DMA to system memory or direct to graphics memory with scatter gather, and an onboard processor for real-time mode and sync detection. When used with the Datapath range of graphics card adaptors, the CPU load is negligible even if the image is being up-scaled to a video wall, resulting in real-time performance.
The VisionRGB-E2s captures data at a maximum pixel rate of 340 MHz. Once captured, the data is converted to either 555, 565 or 888 pixel and YUV mode display formats and then transferred over the PCI bus to host memory, for display on the host system.
Other features include dynamic input source selection, administrator mode and update indicator. The VisionRGB-E2S application program is also built into the Datapath Wall Control-red software for video wall systems.
