Telecommunications connectors and accessories

Erni subsidiary Maxconn offers a full line of new accessories aimed at today's growing demands for smaller high-quality connectors and plugs.

The product line consists of shielded and unshielded plug connectors in both RJ11 six-position and RJ45 eight-position types, cable boots that include PVC, and plastic types with options of strain relief or latch-tab covers.

The plug connectors can be ordered with or without key options, including the offset latch used in RJ11 six-position applications. Maxconn also offers a plastic plug connector cover, allowing the installer or cable manufacturer to assemble it to the plug connector when required.

The telecommunications accessories include fully-shielded Category 5 certified plug connectors with metal strain relief and conductor alignment bar and patch panel connectors, which are IDC quick-connect terminated, with shielding options and a broad range of colours.

Also offered are D-subminiature hoods with DB9, 15 and 25 position connectors, made in male or female types, with snap-in contacts that are easy to assemble and have as options RJ11 six-position or RJ45 eight-position versions. The Maxconn patented RJ45 eight-position fully-shielded connector has a full 360° one-piece metal shield inside the connector hood attached to the RJ45 connector. It offers excellent grounding properties between the internal D-subminiature and RJ45 jack-to-cable plug.
