The Heavycon heavy-duty industrial plug connectors from Phoenix Contact can now also be connected up rapidly and conveniently using the Quix quick connection system. The advantages of the quick connection system, the elimination both of insulation-stripping from the conductors and of any need for special tools, in addition to the 60% timesaving, are now available for the Heavycon-B series, 400 V and 16 A, in use throughout the world.
The Quix inserts provide plug-in compatibility with plug connectors equipped with screwed, crimped or spring-cage connection systems, and fit in all common housings in the B and E series. They are available in male and female versions with 6, 10, 16 and 24 pins.
A further advantage is the low-cost plug keying system of the Quix inserts. This prevents errors in plugging in a number of identical plug connectors. Red keying strips are simply slid into the corresponding slots of the contact inserts and lock in place automatically.
