Video display and capture cards

20 March 2013 Computer/Embedded Technology

Redlinx’s offering includes a number of products to meet ever increasing demands for ultra-high resolution video capture and display on multiple screens in both industrial PC (PCI express) and embedded computing (XMC) applications.

Datapath’s Image4 graphics card is ideal for multi-screen graphics applications in the industrial PC environment. It provides four channels, each with both DVI and RGB video outputs at resolutions up to 1920 x 1200. It can support up to 10 cards in one system for a maximum of 40 display channels.

The Condor 3000x from Tech Source is an XMC form factor graphics/video card for use in applications that require very high-end graphics and computation. Based on AMD’s Radeon 6760 GPU, it offers desktop-level 3D graphics and outstanding multimedia features. Its built-in video decoder enables dual HD decoding of H.264, VC-1. MPEG4 and MPEG2 compressed video streams.

The Condor 3000x is offered in various ruggedised levels and has digital (DVI/display port) and analog (VGA) video outputs available from the front (face plate) of the card or through the rear Pn4/P16 connectors. Condor 3000x-cc is a rugged, conduction cooled version of the product that supports extended temperatures of -40°C to +85°C.

Also from Tech source, the Condor VC 100x is a video capture and compression card that has been designed for use in various applications such as surveillance, image detection, video recording, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and other camera-based video recording/analysis applications.

This XMC form factor video capture card supports up to four video inputs. Various input formats (NTSC/PAL/ SECAM/HD/HD-SDI/3G-SDI) are selectable through an API. Depending upon product version, I/O is handled either through the front connector or through the rear Pn4 connector. The VX 100x is available in both aircooled and conduction-cooled versions.
