Kycon has fleshed out its USB offering with a new USB 3.0 connector and a new Micro USB connector.
The new vertical, A-type USB 3.0 connector (part no. KUSBVX-AS1N9-BL15) is targeted at any device requiring higher-speed data transfer, such as high-resolution webcams, video surveillance cameras, digital video cameras and external media such as Blu-ray drives.
It meets the USB Implementers Forum’s SuperSpeed USB specification which allows for inter-operability with existing USB 2.0 products. It also allows users full duplex arrangement data flow. The vertical-mount connector features a top entry and through-hole termination, with nine pins and blue insulator for visual differentiation from USB 2.0 ports.
Also new is the KMMX-BSMT35S-B(30)TR, a Micro USB, B-type connector with through-hole side tabs for added stability. The standard part comes with 30 μ gold plating, with gold flash plating available upon request. The 5-pin, shielded connector’s stainless steel shell is good for 10 000 insertion cycles.
