1,27 mm pitch economical board-to-wire solution connectors have been developed for fully automatic SMT assembly and allow connections between flat cable and printed circuit boards using only one connector.
These Erni connectors allow the assembly process to be subdivided into 3 phases:
* The connector is fitted fully automatically and soldered by means of SMT reflow soldering process.
* Flat cable is pre-configured and made up in the cable guide.
* Made-up cable guide is placed on connector and using an application tool cable assembly is completed.
The insulation body is black for easy visual recognition (LCP high temperature-resistant thermoplastic for all standard SMT reflow soldering processes). The number of contacts: 12, 26, 50, 68 and 80 and pitch is 1,27 mm. Termination PCB: SMT flat cable: IDC. The dielectric strength between contact - contact is 500 V.
