The KXCJA from Kionix is an ultra-thin tri-axis accelerometer measuring 3 x 3 x 0,7 mm and offering up to 14-bit resolution. User-selectable parameters include ±2 G, 4 G or 8 G ranges and output data rates with programmable low-pass filter.
The chip consumes 135 μA in high-resolution mode, 10 μA at normal resolution and less than 1 μA in standby mode, and features a user-configurable wake-up function to conserve battery power. It has an internal voltage regulator to maintain constant internal operating voltages throughout the 1,8 to 3,6 V input supply range.
The device is suitable for applications in mobile devices, gaming and healthcare and fitness.
