The Accupack LDR8012 and LDR8024 from Feas Elektronik are DC power units that are connected between line voltage and equipment. In the event of a mains power failure, on-board sealed lead-acid batteries supplies power the system - the supply duration dependant on the load current drawn. Charging regulators serve to buffer 12 V and 24 V systems.
A wide input voltage range is possible due to the built-in switch-mode power-supply. For AC the input voltage can range from 85 to 270 V, and for DC input it can range from 150 to 400 V. During on-line operation the AC/DC converter charges the batteries with optimal voltage. The power supply complies with relevant international regulations and works with high efficiency. The power-factor correction circuit ensures power factor is kept greater than COS phi equal to 0,98.
For a limited period, the peak-current can exceed the nominal current up to 25%. The output is short-circuit-proof and effectively protected against polarity failure. The batteries are also equipped with a temperature power control device.
To avoid a total battery discharge, the output-circuit shuts off when the remaining capacity becomes less than 10%. Shortly before this however, a red LED gives a warning, and a relay is released. There are two built-in relays for remote status monitoring - one indicates input voltage present, and the other one the shutoff warning. After input supply has returned, the full-load output supply is immediately resumed.
