PCIe solid-state drive

Computer/Embedded Technology
Micron’s P420m PCIe solid-state drive (SSD) has many of the same features as its P320h – one of the highest performing on the market – but the multilevel NAND technology makes it available at a more accessible price, with higher capacity and advanced data protection.
Since Micron is a vertically integrated supplier with direct control over the design, manufacturing process and supply of the SSD, the controller, firmware and NAND device are closely integrated to optimise performance, even in the most demanding environments.
The consistent performance of the P420m improves data transfer times and removes bandwidth bottlenecks. This is ideal for read-intensive applications.
It provides advanced data protection using Micron’s extended performance and enhanced reliability technology (XPERT) feature set, with onboard capacitors to protect against power loss.
The power-efficient specifications provide higher IOPS per Watt to reduce storage costs as well as the carbon footprint. It is available in two compact form factors with capacities from 350 GB to 1,4 TB and includes a 6,4 cm hot-swappable case that can be inserted or removed from the front of a server without removing the server from the rack or powering it down.
