Lab-Flex AF, a modified version of the popular Lab-Flex series, is now available from Florida RF Labs. This new family of cables has been enhanced to perform in typical harsh environments associated with airborne, shipboard and ground-based applications.
The proprietary cable assembly design utilises a redundant sealing system to prevent water ingress in both cable and connector interfaces, and employs a very durable dielectric design which is able to withstand crushing or kinking.
The triple-shielded cable is protected by an abrasion-resistant jacket which provides enhanced protection against damage during installation and general use of the assembly. This design has been fully qualified to meet or exceed the requirements of MIL-T-81490.
Lab-Flex AF offers designs for frequencies as high as 40 GHz and the connector selection includes SMA, TNC, type N and SC interfaces, all employing a proven hermetic design. Higher-frequency connectors are available upon request.
