C&K Components has developed a new series of microminiature IP64-sealed SMT detect switches. The low-profile JCH series comes in a 4,7 x 4,2 mm form factor with body height of 2,2 mm and an actuator height of 3,8 mm. It has a maximum operating force of 65 grams and an operational life span of 100 000 cycles.
The IP64 seal is dust tight and is protected from water splashed from all directions with limited ingress permitted. Featuring a versatile design suited for a wide variety of applications, including portable electronics, health care systems, automotive integration, audio/visual devices and detection/security peripherals, the JCH series is SMT process compatible.
The RoHS-compliant and halogen/lead-free switches are available with silver over nickel plate terminals and feature an operating temperature of -20°C to 70°C and a contact rating of 1 mA @ 5 V d.c.
