HMI for building automation

Legrand’s range of modular Arteor wiring devices includes an HMI for applications such as home automation systems. Dubbed ‘My Home’, the system supports SCS BUS (wired) and the ZigBee radio frequency protocol (wireless).
As the ZigBee system is installed on the conventional electrical infrastructure and configured directly from the product, it is easy to set up. This flexibility of installation also makes ZigBee an ideal solution for the new or retrofit market. The system is suitable for small installations and can be extended at any time.
Zigbee radio devices consist of actuators (receivers) and command (transmitter) units. The actuators, which are connected to the 240 V infrastructure, perform switching and dimming functions, while the transmitters, which are battery powered, offer multi-way switching, dimming and scenarios, with no additional or special wiring.
The ZigBee radio frequency solution, which uses the global 2,4 GHz frequency band, is perfect for the management of lights, shutters, scenarios and technical alarms. Using the principle of mesh networking, the technology enables operation to continue even if a direct link between two devices is not possible.
The SCS BUS technology is suitable for lighting management and control, as well as temperature, multimedia and access control. This technology, which can be used to network a large number of functions, is suitable for new buildings and major refurbishments. The SCS BUS system can be integrated with other products and protocols, such as KNX and DALI. The system may also be monitored with full control remotely, via a PC or smartphone.
