Infineon Technologies' Smart Hall effect ICs for active wheel speed sensing require no external components and operate from 1 to 2500 Hz. With dynamic self-calibration principle the device has excellent sensitivity (min DB < 1,5 mT) and South and North pole pre-induction is possible.
The Infineon's TLE4941 signal path comprises a pair of Hall probes, spaces at 2,5 mm, a differential amplifier including a noise-limiting low-pass filter and a comparator feeding a switched current output stage.
In addition an offset cancellation feedback loop is provided by a signal-tracking A/D converter, a digital signal processor (DSP) and an offset cancellation D/A converter.
