Tablet computers and handheld PDAs are becoming the electronic work tool of choice in many work situations.
Harsh environments are unfortunately not friendly to many commercial tablet PCs. Such environments are frequently faced by the likes of security, emergency medical services, maintenance crews and law enforcement personnel outdoors in often wet environments; factory and warehouse workers in dusty situations; and mining and civil workers.
Winmate manufactures a range of tablet PCs and PDAs designed for these harsh and unfriendly environments with all the extra features that make these devices truly useful. They offer communication features including WiFi, BlueTooth and 3G, as well as GPS enabling accurate positioning for user applications.
IP65 (and higher) environment protection ensures that water and dust cannot harm the units, while vibration and drop specifications ensure that they can withstand rough treatment. Cameras back and front enable users to record pictures on site, and integrated barcode scanners can record stock and other information.
The units are available with a choice of operating systems and with screen sizes ranging from 4,3” to 12”.
