Alpha Wire has added a new high-flex member to its Xtra-Guard family of industrial Ethernet cables, capable of handling up to 10 million flex life cycles. The Cat 5e cable is available with a Polyolefin (PO) insulation and Alpha’s Supra-Shield foil/braid shielding system which uses a triple-layer foil under a tinned copper braid to offer enhanced EMI performance in all applications.
The cable, along with the rest of its line, is UV and fluid resistant, meets UL 1666 Riser and CSA FT-4 flame tests, and is suitable for use in NFPA 79 applications. It has been assigned the part number 7602F and is available in 500 and 1000 foot putups with a black jacket. Custom configurations are also available upon request.
