NetTest visits Spescom MeasureGraph

26 September 2001 News

NetTest NEMEA Channel Manager Joeri Van Bogaert recently visited South Africa to get acquainted with its local distributor, Spescom MeasureGraph, and the local market. It was Van Bogaert's first visit to the country since his appointment at the beginning of May this year. He says the introduction of the channel division is to facilitate NetTest's distributors to have better access and visibility on the fast-growing NetTest organisation.

During an interview with Van Bogaert it became clear why Spescom MeasureGraph is kept in such high esteem by its overseas principals. Joeri Van Bogaert says NetTest is very positive about its relationship with Spescom and their future alliance. He explains: "Spescom has been chosen to distribute the NetTest Optical Networks Testing, Optical Network Testing Systems and Optical Transmission Testing Equipment due to its excellent results with the NetTest Optical Production and Laboratory products, previously called PK Technologies. The company looks very focused in the T&M Telecom market and there is no doubt that it has the right team and expertise to become the sole partner for the NetTest optical test equipment in the South-African market."

Van Bogaert believes that Spescom's presence and knowledge of the local market combined with the expertise of NetTest as a manufacturer would enable customers to have not only state-of-the-art products, but also an excellent service. "NetTest provides focus on telecom test and measurement equipment, and can, due to its vast experience, offer a total Telecom measurement solution. Today, NetTest equipment was used to test at one time more than 95 % of all the optical fibres used worldwide."

Hilton Preston, Sales Manager for the networks division at Spescom, believes that with the full range of NetTest optical fibre test systems that Spescom offers to the South African market, networks operators will be able to manage and measure the performance of their networks. Preston says NetTest's products will enable Spescom to deliver the optical test systems to meet the challenges ahead for the manufacturer, planning and maintenance of telecommunication networks.
