Westcor, a division of Vicor, has introduced two new members of its LoPAC series of low-profile AC-DC switchers. In addition to the PFC Mini, now there are the PFC MicroS and the PFC Micro.
The PFC MicroS, measuring 201,9 x 128,5 x 47,3 mm, provides up to 600 W of power from 1-3 outputs (one slot). The single slot can contain one full size, two half size or three quarter size Vicor DC-C converter bricks.
The PFC Mini, by way of contrast, measuring 309,9 x 152,4 x 44,5 mm, provides up to 1500 W of output power from three slots. Each of the three slots can contain one full size or two half size Vicor DC-DC converter bricks.
The PFC Micro, 264,1 x 128,5 x 47,3 mm, can provide up to 800 W of output power. The two-slot PFC Micro doubles the versatility of the PFC MicroS and can be configured for one to six outputs by selecting the appropriate Vicor DC-DC converter bricks.
The LoPAC series of configured-to-order power supplies all feature a power factor corrected (PFC) front end, an EMI filter, an off-line single-phase customer interface with associated housekeeping circuitry and a self-contained cooling fan. All units accept universal input of 85-264 V a.c., 47-500 Hz, or 100-300 V d.c. (100-380 V d.c. for the PFC Mini).
