The SMA-13LV – part of Sonitron’s Multi-Application (SMA) range – is a low-cost, commercial grade buzzer with a low drive voltage requirement of 3 V nominal (2 – 4 V range). With a 13 x 13 mm footprint, it is available in surface-mount and through-hole packages with 7,5 mm or 10 mm spacing.
This piezoelectric component can be used to produce either a clear and penetrating tone, or a soft sound, at sound pressure levels up to 80 dB(A), using a built-in oscillator to generate their working frequency. A special, strengthened model option can be specified for use in demanding circumstances, while a foam patch option can be added for extra mechanical and acoustic stabilisation. The surface-mount buzzer model is supplied with a heat resistant label to protect it during automatic soldering.
