Littelfuse has introduced the SLVU2.8-8 Series 2,8 V, 30 A TVS diode array, designed to protect low-voltage CMOS devices from damage caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD) and lightning-induced transients. Typical applications include protection of 10/100/1000 Ethernet equipment; WAN/LAN equipment; switching systems; desktops, servers and notebooks; analog inputs and base stations.

A compensating diode is located in series with each low-voltage TVS diode to present a low loading capacitance to the line being protected. This AEC-Q101 qualified device can safely absorb repetitive ESD strikes at ±30 kV and dissipate up to 30 A with very low clamping voltages.

With capacitance of just 2,6 pF per line, the device helps preserve signal integrity and minimise data loss, while low dynamic resistance of 0,3 Ω provides the optimal clamping voltage for sensitive chipsets. It is packaged in a small-outline integrated circuit (SOIC) and is provided in tape-and-reel form.
