The WiPry-Pro from Oscium is an electronic engineering-grade accessory that turns an Apple mobile device into a 2,4 GHz spectrum analyser at an affordable price. Featuring amplitude resolution of 0,5 dBm and resolution bandwidth of 400 kHz, the pocket-sized analyser makes it possible to view data in real time or over time using waterfall mode.
Measurement settings include 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n and 802.15.4 (ZigBee), and SSID-specific scanning can also be performed. The WiPry-Pro, which was recently nominated in two categories for ECN’s Impact Awards, comes equipped with a native Lightning connector and is compatible with iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 2, iPad mini, iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4 and fifth-generation iPod touch.
On request, Oscium can also provide app developers with access to the device’s hardware through an application programming interface (API).
