Discrete wire interconnects

25 November 2015 Interconnection

Samtec’s 1,00 mm pitch discrete wire system is now available in a double-row design (S1SD/S1SDT series) for increased flexibility and single-row with rugged latching (S1SS/S1SST series) ideal for applications where a highly reliable connection must be maintained. The cable assemblies and mating connector feature a space-saving design and a choice of options to ensure a proper fit.

The new discrete wire cables feature a crimp style, dual leaf contact system for reliable wire-to-board connection. This pin and socket system is available with rugged positive latching for increased retention, up to 20 total pins, a choice of PVC or Teflon cable in #28 or #30 AWG, and double or single ended with a 45,72 mm minimum assembled length. The surface-mount terminal strip (T1M series) is available in space-saving right angle or vertical configurations. Optional pick-and-place pads are also available for precise placement on the PCB.
