Texas Instruments' radio frequency identification systems (RFID) has announced full support for worldwide ISO RFID standards and interoperability with the launch of its new Tag-it line of ISO-compatible RFID inlays. These smart label inlays fully comply with the latest ISO/IEC 15693 global standards for 13,56 MHz RFID vicinity cards and smart labels making them ideal for worldwide use in supply chain management, product authentication and tracking etc.
TI says that the new ISO inlays are fully supported by its recently introduced ISO 15693 compatible 13,56 MHz RFID readers including the Tag-it S6500 and S6550 long-range readers, and the S6350 mid-range reader. All are capable of reading any ISO-compatible 13,56 MHz RFID transponder. The ISO inlays can also be read by readers from any manufacturer complying with the ISO 15693 standard. They provide both read and write capabilities in a small, thin, flexible smart label solution. They also feature an increased memory of 2 Kb and an anti-collision algorithm for simultaneous identification (SID) making them capable of being read simultaneously by fixed-position readers or handheld scanners.
