Automatic cable tie installation system

15 June 2016 Enclosures, Racks, Cabinets & Panel Products Manufacturing / Production Technology, Hardware & Services

Panduit announced the release of its next-generation PAT 4.0 automatic cable tie installation system, designed to maximise bundling productivity with claims of up to 25% over other automatic cable tie systems and over six times the speed of manual cable tie methods. This enhanced productivity is delivered via a lightweight, ergonomic tool head capable of installing up to 84 cable ties per minute while reducing user fatigue and improving tool manoeuvrability.

The redesign of the tool dispenser features a user-friendly touchscreen display with an icon-based menu that supports multiple languages. This allows users to quickly gain familiarity with the system to address quick setup/operation, ease of routine maintenance, and rapid troubleshooting tasks resulting in increased uptime. A 30% reduction in size over its predecessor frees up valuable work station real estate and improves system mobility.
