Front panel options for plastic enclosures

OKW has extended its DATEC-Terminal range of multi-format sloping front enclosures by offering a choice of front panels and covers which can be milled and drilled to mount keypads, displays, membrane keypads etc.

Designed for data collection, measuring and control, access control and security, HVAC, medical equipment and point of sale applications, this range of desktop and wall mounted terminal enclosures features a large operating area inclined by 20 degrees for ease of operation. The rear lid has been designed specifically for mounting standard pocket-size scanners.

The case is quick to assemble and offers easy access to the components, and all the fixings are hidden to enhance aesthetics. The enclosures offer a protection rating of IP54 when configured with a cover and closed lid. They are available in four sizes: S (13 x 18 cm); SL (26,4 x 18 cm); M (16,8 x 27,2 cm) and L (30,2 x 27,2 cm). The M and L models feature a separate terminal section and are offered in three versions, with or without recesses for fitting fixed or hinged lids and locks.

The housings are moulded from Off White ABS (UL 94 HB) and can be configured with recessed flat or convex covers in ABS (UL 94 HB) or transparent polycarbonate (UL 94 V-0). The convex covers are finished with a pair of cover strips. Optional accessories include aluminium front panels or profile plates, and wall suspension elements. M and L models can be fitted with a closed lid for the separate terminal section or a credit card slot lid.

Customising options include CNC milling and drilling; custom colours; special finishes (such as lacquering and water transfer printing); special materials (such as carbon neutral bioplastic); digital, silk-screen and tampo printing of legends and logos; RFI/EMI shielding and assembly of components.
