Amp-Latch connectors from TE Connectivity are ribbon cable-to-board devices used to make the transition between ribbon cable and printed circuit board circuitry.
They find heavy use within equipment to connect one board to another or one subsystem to another.
The product range comprises IDC connectors which terminate to a 1,27 mm, 1,0 mm or 0,64 mm ribbon cable pitch. Labour savings are enabled thanks to mass-termination capabilities and the fact that there is no need to strip or prepare wire. Target markets include industrial, consumer, data communications, medical and rail.
