10-bit low-power serial DAC

The MAX5711 is a small footprint, low-power, 10-bit DAC from Maxim that operates from a single +2,7 to +5,5 V supply. With on-chip precision output amplifier it provides rail-to-rail output swing. Drawing only 85 µA supply current at 3 V, the MAX5711 is suited to portable battery-operated equipment. The DAC utilises a 3-wire serial-interface. All logic inputs are CMOS-logic compatible and buffered with Schmitt triggers to allow direct interfacing to optocouplers. It incorporates a power-on reset (POR) circuit that ensures zero-volt-state power-up. On power-down mode reduces current consumption to 0,3 µA. The MAX5711 is available in a small 6-pin SOT23 package.
