Building on its entry-level A64-μQ7 offering (based on a system-on-chip from Allwinner Technology) for the Qseven embedded computing form factor, Theobroma Systems is actively developing products to transition to 64-bit-capable ARM processors for mid-range and demanding applications.
The RK3399-Q7 Qseven module combines the computational performance of the Cortex-A72/A53 clusters with PCI Express and two independent MIPI-CSI interfaces. Slated for shipment to early-access customers in the first quarter of 2017 and supported by Linux and Android, this module is targeted at varied visual computing, image analytics and automation applications.
Another module – the RK3368-μQ7 – will be an octo-core ARM module, unlocking a high level of computational performance in the highly compact 40 x 70 mm micro-Qseven form factor.
