TE Connectivity’s ALCOSWITCH anti-vandal switches offer a flexible, vandal-proof solution for security and reliability in a wide variety of panel-mount applications including kiosks, ticket dispensers and ATM and vending machines, as well as industrial equipment, elevators and escalators, instrumentation, and communication and control equipment.
The switches employ a jam nut accessible from the rear of the panel and are available in multiple panel sizes including 16, 19 and 22 mm. Available in single- and double-pole configurations, the switches are sealed to an IP67 rating. A number of body styles are available including single-pole momentary, single-pole on/off, double-pole momentary and double-pole on/off.
The switches provide an easy user interface with a large pushbutton and offer an optional LED indicator to illuminate the switch with multiple colour options including white, red, yellow, green and blue. The LEDs help enable additional visual flexibility with various pushbutton symbol types including fixed ring, moving ring, spot and power logo.
With an operating temperature range from -20°C up to 55°C, the switches use a stainless steel actuator with silver or gold plated copper contacts with terminals sealed in silicon. The switches are compliant to various standards, including EU RoHS and REACH regulations, and meet the UL (E46765) requirements for both the 19 and 22 mm series switches.
