16 bit MCU with triple CAN interfaces

30 January 2002 DSP, Micros & Memory

Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe's MB90-F443G microcontroller, which integrates three CAN interfaces, is the latest member of Fujitsu's 16 bit CAN controller family with on-chip flash memory, designed at the company's European Microcontroller Design Centre.

The CAN interface of the MB90F443G conforms to CAN specification Version 2.0 Part A and B and supports automatic re-transmission in case of error, automatic transmission responding to remote frame and 16 prioritised message buffers for data and IDs. It also supports multiple messages, flexible configuration of acceptance filtering: full bit compare/full bit mask/two partial bit masks and up to 1Mbps throughput.

It incorporates an external bus interface, 10 bit A/D converter, double UART, serial I/O, 4-channel programmable pulse generator, 8-channel input capture unit, 4-channel output compare unit and 2-channel 16 bit reload timer. It integrates 1 Mb of on-board flash memory. All Fujitsu flash MCUs also feature automatic program algorithm (embedded algorithm), erase pause/restart functions, completion detection of writing/erasing using data polling or toggle bit functions, completion detection of writing/erasing using CPU interrupts and sector erase function for any combination of sectors.
