BC Components, the passive components company that recently emerged from Philips Components, has introduced a new range of negative temperature coefficient (NTC) 0603 surface mount thermistors, extending the existing range of miniature components for temperature sensing and compensation applications. These surface mount NTC thermistors have been produced to meet the industry trend towards ever greater miniaturisation, offering designers the opportunity to replace conventional ceramic leaded NTCs. The new series which has all the advantages of conventional ceramic-leaded NTCs, is economical and covers a wide temperature range, says BC Components.
The following resistance values are available for shipment within five weeks: 4,7, 10, 47, 68 and 100 kW. The series will be completed to E6 in the near future.
Like the 0805 Series from BC Components, the SMD 0603 demonstrates superior performance values for temperature compensation and sensing applications. The 0603 Series is available with electrical tolerances up to 3% on resistance values at 25°C and up to 1% tolerance on B25/85 values. Devices are packed on a reel of punched paper tape which is suitable for pick-and-place mounting. They show stability at temperatures as high as 150°C, making them ideal surface-mount components.
