Clock oscillators with ultra-low jitter

High-speed applications such as networks and instrumentation require very stable, high-frequency reference clocks. The EG2001 series from Epson satisfies this need for frequencies between 106 and 166 MHz. It utilises a high-stability quartz SAW technology, oscillating in the fundamental mode; clock jitter is typically 3 ps RMS or 30 ps peak-to-peak with maximum noise rejection. These CMOS devices operate at 3,3 V and long-term stability is excellent at ±100 ppm over 10 years. The package dimensions are minimal, 7,0 x 5,0 x 1,2 mm.
