Advantech's new ES-510 multimedia web payphone and PPC-153T touch panel computer each won a Silver National Award of Excellence at the recent annual National Award of Excellence organised by Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs. The winning products were selected from over 600 entries by a panel of judges from USA, Italy, Germany, Japan and Taiwan.
The ES-510 is an integrated public service platform equipped with digital video/audio communication, touchscreen LCD monitor and an embedded CCD camera. Advantech has consequently received an order to supply 2000 multimedia public payphones in Taiwan.
A second-time winner of the award is Advantech's PPC-153T panel computer. This combines a high-performance PentiumIII CPU board, 15" XGA TFT LCD and an intuitive touchscreen within a compact chassis. It is an ideal solution for system integrators looking for a computing solution that is compact with wide connectivity, multiple I/O connectors and high installation flexibility.
