New reverse fix Gecko-SL connectors from Harwin give design engineers additional options and flexibility by allowing the exact choice of male/female fixing combinations. This is particularly useful in the case of a ‘hot’ connector on a printed circuit board, as this can now be a female connector that has the contacts completely shrouded for added safety.
Various connector styles and genders are included in the range, with pin counts of 6, 10, 12, 16, 20, 26, 34 and 50 and a 2 A per signal contact current rating. The reversed gender screw-lock connectors feature a 1,25 mm pitch, small size and a robust design, making them well suited to challenging applications in defence, aviation, space, motorsport, transportation and industrial.
