Bus systems now constitute an integral part of computers and automation equipment. They make available the standardised interface to which components and subsystems can be connected in any combination. Many of the components are now connected to the bus board by the solderless press-fit technique (DIN IEC 352).
For connecting up power supply lines Erni offers components using its Ernipress technology. These two-row power supply interfaces have five pins per row with a compliant press-fit zone, the length of which depends on the thickness of the PCB. For the power supply lines there is a choice of termination between cable lugs for M4 screw and Faston shoes. The Faston terminals have a cross-section of 6,3 x 0,8 x 0,08 mm in accordance with DIN 46244.
