A family of A style universal serial bus (USB) connectors from Molex provide digital PC/telephony integration at 12 Mbps data transfer rates. The connectors are available in several styles to support plug- and-play integration of up to 127 different devices such as PCs, peripherals, consumer devices and telecom equipment.
The series includes three types of USB A style PCB receptacles: single, dual-stack and sideXside. These fully shielded receptacles have multiple grounding features that provide EMI/RFI shielding. They are rated at 1,0 A and 1500 mating cycles. Other standard features include plug retention tabs, solder tail stabilisers, PCB hold-downs and housing standoffs. The USB cable-style plug can be ordered as a complete overmoulded assembly in five standard cable lengths according to USB standards. Cable assemblies feature strain reliefs to protect wire terminations and friction grips for easy mating.
